My Perfect Adventure
So I set out yesterday for an adventure to my favorite scrapbook store. I call it an adventure because when you are toting 2 little ones, 3 and under, to any kind of craft store you know you are in for it! I went, psyching myself up for the scrapbook retreat I went to today. Boy, was I in for a fun surprise!! Not only did I find way too many scrapbooking goodies (which sadly I couldn't afford unless I robbed the bank next door & who has time for that with 2 little ones?!) but I found an adorable assortment of redone antique tables, shelving with french doors, wall shelves, empty gorgeous frames, etc. My eye caught this wall shelf, as I was lunging for my 3 yr old who had placed a plastic skeleton as the driver of an old antique milk truck and proceeded to drive it around the store. I'm pretty sure it wasn't suppose to be moved since it had teeny bungee cords supposed to being doing the work of keeping the tires from moving. I'm sure for fear of its rusty hinges or wheels coming undone if moved. With that disaster averted I turned my attention back to my shelf, shoved another graham cracker into the Redhead's chubby hand and knew I couldn't leave the store without it. Knowing I didn't have money for all of the scrapbooking goodies in my basket and the shelf, I decided I would part with a few of my embellishments and borrow $10 from the Tornado. I walked very happily (both because of my purchase and the fact that I survived any tragic incidents with my kiddos!) out to my car, giddy to see how this would go in my love nest, aka:bedroom. Look how perfect it goes with my wall color! Now to find The Place to hang it and The Accessories to complete it. I would have to say my day couldn't have ended without a more perfect adventure!
