Talon's 3rd birthday party planning got put off til last minute in typical fashion of my super "organized" ways. But with the help of my sister,Judy we threw together a pretty successful afternoon!
...$9 later just to have helium be put in 8 balloons, more than one dollar store run, lots of creativity, an amazing cake idea found online and put together by auntie, stressed out mommy, 9 sweet little pirates, a treasure hunt, X marks the spot, eye-patches, AHOY's and ARGH's, stressed out mommy, lots of candy, too many balloons losing their lives, swords, telescopes, loads and loads of fun by the lil pirates and one mommy breathing a HUGE sigh of relief when one more birthday has been planned and completed!!

It's so much fun to get to use my creative skills when it comes to my kids lives! So many ideas and not always enough time. To make such special memories for Talon to cherish later is worth ALL that stress I know I mentioned more than once earlier!:) He had a blast and so did all his special friends! Maybe, just maybe, with the next big shindig I have to plan I'll start way ahead of time instead of having anxiety 2 nights before!! But it doesn't seem very likely seems as I work best under a looming deadline and pressure...
