like how i use to say i wouldn't let my kids go trick or treating, like how i said i'd NEVER let my child act up at a restaurant "if i had to sit good when i was little, my kids can learn too!", like how i didn't think i'd be a yeller as a mom (haha! hard to get away from that one!!)... ya, since i've become a parent i've had to eat alot of "i'd never's":) so i once said i never wanted my kids to think easter was about the easter bunny & candy. well today my 2 yr old got to so enjoy an easter egg hunt (wasn't much of a "hunt" since all we had to do was throw the eggs in the very short grass where there wasn't any hiding going on!). i loved watching him be so thorough in ONLY picking up the little chocolate whooper eggs. he would pick up anything else, look at it & set it back down. poor kid! HE DOESN'T EVEN LIKE CHOCOLATE!!:) so i was soft hearted mommy & picked him up some sugar rush he would enjoy:) anyway i realized i will still keep the focus of easter on what it is..the amazing sacrifice of Christ for us & yet still let my child find joy in childish things:) its so much fun being a mommy & watching them being kids!
