unwinding

Brain weary the other night & very much in need of some Me time, I sat blissfully blog-surfing. I came across a cute idea, gathered my supplies, locked the bedroom door, turned up my I-Tunes and went to work. Not after much banging and crying at the door though! Oooo.. I love these moments of inspiration. They get me excited, all tangled up in the maddening creative crush I love so much! So much for only sticking to the List. That was a no-no idea from the beginning. But no worries..that quilt from the List IS actually coming along!!

An idea something like this has been banging around in my brain for awhile. I saw the inspiration piece and knew. I had to do something about it just to get it out. I knew if I didn't get it out it would continue making one continuous curve through my brain for eternity. So here goes:

Attempt #1:
Attempt #2: (not sure why the coloring in this pic is so off..it still is the same shirt!)
And the finished product:
A closer look at some of the detailing. I added some tulle flowers and finished them off with little buttons to give it alittle more fun and dimension.
Now to see if I'll ever actually wear it!

I LOVE it! If you don't wear it you are crazy:) I love how you describe that creative thought as a continuous curve in your brain, so true. You should sell these at the next bazaar. On what web site did you see the idea?
